Captain's retirement!!
Captain has been working at Camp Olson since 2001. That's 19 summers of teaching campers and staff how to ride and care for horses. She is an amazing animal and has always been a heard favorite. If we can raise enough for her retirement she will be moving to New York state and spending her days in green pasture with Aliyyah Noel taking her out for rides and giving her all the love and care she has always deserved. Please consider giving to help give Captain the freedom to fully retire. Every donation counts!! Since Captain is still healthy and fit we will need to purchase her at the usual going rate for a fully trained, healthy mare, ie $1750.
We are also hoping to retire Henry. He has not been with us for very long but his health is making it difficult to live the camp life. We are still looking for a home for him. Donations for his retirement would only need to cover what he might catch at the sale barn, ie around $300. If you are interested in providing him a home please get in touch I can discuss our hope for his retirement and his health concerns.
