Scott is a father, grandfather, a fighter, and someone who has spent years helping others find their way.
For the past 9 years, Scott has been sober and deeply involved in Alcoholics Anonymous. In his community, he’s known as “Captain Save-a-Bro”—the guy who answers the phone, shows up when it matters, and helps others through their darkest moments.
Now, he’s the one who needs that same support.
Scott recently suffered a sudden brain bleed and was rushed to Shock Trauma, where he is currently receiving critical care. What started as a normal day quickly turned into a life-threatening emergency.
At this time, Scott is partially paralyzed on his right side. While there are hopeful signs, his recovery will be long and uncertain, and he will need continued medical care, rehabilitation, and time away from work to heal.
His children, Brittany and Jake, have stepped up immediately—taking on his bills and responsibilities so he can focus on recovery. They are also traveling back and forth to be by his side, as the hospital is about an hour away. With gas prices as high as they are, even these trips have become an added financial burden during an already overwhelming time.
We are asking for help to support Scott and his family during this critical period.
Funds will go toward:
Medical expenses and hospital care
Monthly bills and living expenses
Gas and travel costs for his children to visit and support him
Ongoing care and rehabilitation needs
This fundraiser is being organized by Dawn (Brittany and Jake's mother) on Scott’s behalf. Due to current circumstances, funds will be managed and distributed directly toward his medical care, essential bills, and recovery-related expenses to ensure everything is handled responsibly during this time. Where possible, payments will be made directly toward these expenses.
If you know Scott, you know his heart. He gives freely, supports others without judgment, and has dedicated years of his life to helping people stay sober and rebuild their lives.
Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. And if you’re unable to give, sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you for supporting Scott, Brittany, and Jake during this incredibly difficult time.
The man who has spent years helping others stay alive and sober is now fighting to regain his own strength. Let’s make sure he doesn’t have to fight alone.
