Captain Moonlite Film Fund

Donation protected
We are 3rd Year Film Students from the University of South Wales and we are looking to raise a £2,200 Budget for our graduate film, Captain Moonlite which tells the real-life story of the legendary queer outlaw, Andrew George Scott. He is revered by his gang for his daringly eccentric crimes, but the legend suffers. So how can Andrew’s secret feelings for right-hand man James Nesbitt possibly lead to an end to Andrew’s suffering, and at what cost to his gang?

Our budget will cover:
  • Locations
  • Wardrobe
  • Production Design
  • Transport

How will your donation help?
  • Locations and Transport: We want to film around South Wales, we're looking at the Gower or the Brecon Beacons. We're attempting to recreate the look of Wantabadgery, Australia in the 1880s. Donations would go towards helping us get crew and kit to those locations.
  • Wardrobe and Production: To create the look of the 1880s, we need a period-accurate wardrobe and props. The donations would help the production designers on the team to source materials and make the props.

Finally, we want to do justice to this queer bushranger and his story. We want to share it with the world and commit this character to the silver screen for queer kids growing up to enjoy. They deserve their own cowboy icon.
