Captain J'Sun Arguello's Memorial Fund

We called him "Captain", and none among us was ever more worthy of that rank. "Fearless Leader", brother to all of us, and son to Mama Bear. J'Sun Arguello, our J-Bird, passed quietly and very unexpectedly in the night, January 3rd, 2022. He was just a few weeks shy of his 47th birthday on January 23. He is survived by his Father, CJ; mother, Candi; two sisters, Courtney and Tina; and brother, Ryan. To say his death was untimely is in no way trite. To describe the outpouring of emotion, heartfelt, for the sudden loss of such a brilliant spirit; hardly adequate.
Often, when our loved ones take that giant step on the journey into the unknown, we tend to describe them in terms possibly more glowing than deserved. Through either the lens of grief, or other means of self-deceit, we speak of the dead as though in life they were somehow more than ourselves; that they were extraordinary, unique beyond all others. The truth, in J'sun's case, is that he actually was: gentle, humorous, genuine, courageous... At times wild and untamed, at others thoughtful and insightful... Always immensely generous... Truly extraordinary. Superlative.
J'sun was one of those rare souls whose inner light shone with such intensity, it illuminated the world around him. His genuine warmth was made all the more evident in his smile: a smile which radiated out from his heart and into forever. A smile none who knew him will ever forget.
In life, he brought a rag-tag group of ornery misfit pirates together and made us a family. He brings us together a little bit closer, a bit tighter, even, with his passing.
As seemingly unbearable as this is for his friends, none of us can possibly feel the loss of our brother more than his dear mother, Candi Pirchner, known to many of us as "Mama Bear". We need to show her our love and support right now. Like most of us, J'Sun had no insurance, and his funerary costs can only be covered by those who loved, cherished and admired our Captain. Mama Bear has taken so many of us in, putting up with J'Sun's rogues gallery of friends; always with an open door and an open heart. If you can, please open your heart to her just as she has for us. If there is no other truth in the universe, this is the one: J'Sun would have done the same for each and every one of us down to the last. This is a chance to give back a bit, to honor the generosity of our fallen Captain.
Brother, you're sailing ahead of us on a trackless sea of light. We follow in your wake, knowing that as our Captain, you will lead us home. See you when we get there...
