Capri's Family Needs Our Help for Closure

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I want to share the heart-wrenching story of Capri Martin, a woman whose life was filled with love, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. Capri was not just a mother, daughter, sister, and friend; she was a beacon of hope and kindness to everyone who knew her. She loved life, cherished her family, and was always there to lend a helping hand, even when she faced her own struggles. To know Capri was to love her.

Capri dedicated her life to caring for others, working in healthcare and bringing joy to dialysis patients with her infectious smile. She was a devoted mother to her 15-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son, always checking in on others, even while battling her own health issues. Her strength was remarkable; she fought through numerous challenges, including a rare and incurable condition known as May-Thurners syndrome, thyroid cancer, esophageal tears, acute kidney failure, and, most recently, liver failure. Despite the pain she endured, Capri never wavered in her faith or her love for her children.

Tragically, Capri passed away on Monday evening at Mayo Hospital, surrounded by family and love, while waiting for a liver transplant. While Capri was ill she made sure there was life insurance for her burial, and insurance for kids to be able to have her house. In the midst of this devastation, her family learned that the life insurance she had lapsed unexpectedly, leaving them with no financial support for her burial. Additionally, the mortgage insurance that was meant to leave something for her children fallen through due to missed payments that her family was unaware of. Now, as her family grapples with the loss of a remarkable woman, they find themselves in a dire situation. They have exhausted all their resources, and her family is left without the means to give Capri’s children the closure they need for their mother to have farewell she deserves. Capri thought she had everything in place for her family, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they are facing an unimaginable challenge.

We are reaching out to the kindness in your hearts to help us give Capri the sendoff she deserves. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the burden on her family during this incredibly difficult time. They need closure, and we want to honor Capri's legacy by ensuring her children can say goodbye to their mother.
