Cappie is sick -- Help Save Him

Cappie got into my mom's bag and ate a very large amount of sugar free gum. The vet said eating 4 to 5 pieces of gum causes liver damage to dogs. Cappie ate about 45 pieces. The vet said if we hadn't brought him in so quickly his liver would have gone into failure and he would have passed. So, we are fortune we got him in quickly. But, because the harmful ingredient in the gum is quickly absorbed, he isn't in the clear.
They have him on an IV and are giving him medication to help his liver and need to keep him for at least 5 days.
Now, it's a waiting game. The vet says they need to run a Mammalian Liver Profile in 36 hours to see if his liver levels go above a certain level. If they do, he is going to need plasma transfusions in order to save his liver and his life.
The vet is optimistic that Cappie will survive if he continues to receive around the clock care until the tests say his liver is ok.
Currently, the estimate for 5 days in the hospital WITHOUT plasma ($304.92 per unit of plasma + $92.45 for each blood clotting test) is $2,978.10 to $3,722.63.

Please help my mom and I save my dog. He is the sweetest dog and is loved by many.
