Capitalism won’t destroy itself! Help Twelve Out Of Time

About This Project
Hi there pirates, renegades, and fellow un-governables.
I’m currently working on a new project called Twelve Out Of Time – a chaotic comedy series made for social media reels. Think short episodes, around 3–4 minutes long, with a storyline that blends parody, history, cardboard props, bad wigs, and a helping of theatrical madness.
The premise: a gang of completely unhinged archetypal characters are sent on a Hero’s Journey Quest to destroy capitalism… only to discover it’s nothing like Star Wars. There’s no Death Star to blow up, no clear plan, and absolutely no one knows what they’re doing. Not even the villain – Tech Billionaire Pylon Bucks, who is traveling through time like an evil version of Dr. Who, trying to dodge both accountability and Satan (who would very much like Pylon to pay his taxes).
And, because it’s me, we will also take some intellectual detours into the history of Hollywood storytelling, how (and why) we talk about archetypes, how Carl Jung’s ideas got contorted into corporate nonsense, and what the Hero’s Journey has in common with... uh… a certain 20th-century German movement.
Season 1 is almost done, aiming for release in September.

Why I’m Asking for Help
Among the many hats I wear, I’m an Access Support Worker, helping others apply for funding from Arts Council England. This is my main income source – or, it was.
A few days ago, Arts Council England suspended one of their key funding programmes, which also means suspending the payments of many support workers like me. They say this pause will last until “no later than mid-September,” but those of you familiar with bureaucracies know that this landscape can be uncertain.
So, while I wait for payments to resume, my entire income for the next couple of months is on hold.
So far, I’ve been self-funding this project. But now the small personal budget I’d set aside to complete Twelve Out Of Time has to go toward regular life expenses. But I’m not far off from finished. I just need a few key things:
a medieval sword (the “big-ticket” item at a whole £45)
and a bunch of sundries: spirit gum, tape, paint, fake flowers, and what I lovingly refer to as Random Bullshit™.
So I’m hoping to raise £150, which would help cover these final props and materials.
Even £2 or £3 would make a huge difference – it all adds up quickly.
And if you can't donate right now, that’s okay too. Sharing this is also deeply appreciated.
Thanks for reading – and for supporting your local weird grassroots art-maker.
