Did you know that 1 out of 5 kids In America lives in a household that is considered “food insecure”?
This crisis has been exacerbated by COVID-19, as millions of children no longer have access to food programs at their school, which provides free breakfast and lunch for low-income students.
Recently I became a teen ambassador for the COVID-TV Food For All community project. COVID-TV is the first teen-led online community where teenagers can share their stories and participate in projects such as Food for All to help members in their community. As an ambassador for the Food for All campaign, I am to helping address food insecurity for our vulnerable youth and their families in the Washington D.C. area.
100% of donations from our effort will go directly to Capital Area Food Bank, which provides over 30 million meals to those across the DMV and is working diligently to help support and provide food for those in need during this difficult time.
