Rugby Community,
On the night of Monday March 2, 2026 six current Capilano RFC Sr. Men's players lives were impacted by a large fire in the rental house they were living in. Thankfully, all six are safe and uninjured. However they all lost almost all possessions and now no longer have the place they called home.

Big thank you to all the local first responders who supported on Monday evening.
The Capilano Rugby Club is starting fundraising efforts to support our family. Any contributions are greatly appreciated and will be used to help get our six members back on their feet. Contributions will go towards replacing work tools, rugby gear, electronics, appliances, furniture, clothing, and more. There will also be additional costs towards securing new long-term living arrangements.
Please consider supporting our club members (pictured above from last Saturday at Klahanie) Ryan Hickey, Caleb Kingi, Wade Jansen, Toby Horn, Teancum Tuialii, and Reid Brookes. Five of the six have joined our club in the past two years and all six have been dedicated and helpful Capilano members, on and off the pitch. Capilano members are well known for always supporting our own in times of need!
Please share these details with other community members and on social media platforms. The Capilano Rugby Club will also be arranging further fundraising efforts at upcoming home games.
There will be opportunities coming up soon to support in ways other than just financially. Thank you to all who have helped out already, providing support and assistance in many different ways!
