My name is Johnila Johnson me and my family have had a heavy blow dealt to us my family has lost its matriarch and it was completely sudden. My mother who has spent her life loving and caring for everyone around her and even people we’ve brought along with us as friends were made family she’s raised 4 amazing people into the adults we are today and we are just looking for a helping hand during this difficult time we are forced to lay our mother to rest with no answers of how we got to this point she wasn’t feeling well and went to the emergency room at regions hospital where she waited for care for 2 hours and was finally taking her back for a CT scan which showed she had blood clots everywhere and that they had to operate immediately after that surgery it was discovered that one of those clots was blocking her gut so she was loosing circulation to her gut causing her to go into organ failure and lose viable organs and her system was shutting down on her. As her Blood pressure rose and she was on 24 hour dialysis, blood pressure medication because her heart wasn’t beating strong enough, blood thinners to remove as many clots as they could being fed through an IV because she only had 30cm of intestines and not able to breathe on her on because her heart was overwhelmed and her heart was still not out of danger it was a risk with every heartbeat that could dislodge the largest blood clot and we would lose her and it was up to us to either add more medication and another machine or stop and let her go peacefully and with the weight of the world on our shoulders we had to make the hardest decision of our lives by choosing her peace and comfort over forcing her to stick through the pain and stress her body was already dealing with. With her at peace, Now we are trying to figure our way through this we have to grieve our mother all the while pack her home and settle our lives to some semblance of normalcy with a little less stress from all that has happened in the last 2 weeks with this earth shattering loss we aren’t being presumptuous that someone will help or that our burden is your’s but we appreciate any help we can get with love and blessings
