Cape Youth Hurricanes headed to GLOBALS

Cape Youth Football Association, (CYFA) is a non-profit organization that operates under the

Pop Warner Little Scholars program.

This year our Hurricanes Varsity Large Level-3 cheerleading team (ages 12-15), finished First Place at

the Regional Championship and First Place at the National Championship with the Grand Champion award (Highest score of their session which included 32 teams) and an additional bonus of second highest score of the entire day (which included 127 teams). This bonus earned them a fully paid bid (all registration and competition fees covered) to the YCADA Globals, a final competition of this season’s best of the best teams held in Atlantic City, N.J.

Our Hurricanes cheerleading team consists of 33 cheerleaders & 6 volunteer coaches. These student-athletes dedicate themselves on and off the cheer mat, earning All-American Little scholars awards for the highest GPA bracket in Pop Warner.

To get this opportunity, is an honor for this team and all the hard work they have put in all season long. Unfortunately, with the devestation of Hurricane Ian directly effecting our town, many in our area are still struggling with the aftermath of damages, job losses, expenses, etc. Many of our local fundraising opportunities have already been exhausted to the greatest extent, which assisted in sending the team to the 2022 National Championship. We are now hoping to receive any help that is out there to send these talented athletes to their dream of the YCADA Globals.

The Cape Youth Hurricanes are currently seeking monetary donations to help offset travel costs

to take this Championship team to the YCADA Globals Competition for the first time ever and show the world what

they have to offer as representatives of our Southwest Florida area. This would be a first for

not only our organization but any team from Cape Coral.

A monetary donation of $500.00 or more, will allow for placement of your company or

family name on the back of the Commemorative Travel Team Shirts.
