Capacity is the story of Ash Sullivan, a 17 year old girl, whose day to day life is rattled by the unpredictable and abusive behavior of her alcoholic mother. In an attempt to escape her circumstances, she enters a student film competition, with hopes of winning a trip to Chicago where she believes a more peaceful future awaits.

Ash's situation resembles that of many teenagers affected by domestic abuse and substance dependence . The film paints a picture of a glowing light and human with the potential to impact the world around them but with no means to shine, and barely those to survive.

My name is McKenna Slone, I am an actor, writer, and producer that recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama with a BFA in theater.  The team I've gathered together on this project is top notch and I couldn't be more excited to have a 90% female  cast and crew. The Director, Erin Lunsford (Pan African Film Festival, SlamDance, & the Student Academy Awards)  and Director of Photography LaTerrain McIntosh (Black Panther, True Detective, Spider-man)

The money raised will be allocated to full cast and crew within all stages of production, necessary equipment and resources, and our participation in film festivals.
