The Goal Was REACHED! Thank you!

Higor Pinheiro is  18 years young, young man whose violin playing abilities have been increasing consistently  because he is a dedicated young artist,  committed  to develop his God-Given Talent.
He lives with his parents, and a sister in the City of God (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cidade_de_Deus,_Rio_de_Janeiro ).
City of God is an area challenged by crimes and drugs; it takes him usually 2 hours to get from where he lives to where we have our project and rehearsals.
Higor will be playing the Lawrence Brullo made Violin which was donated to the project by the three daughters of Italian-american Artist Lawrence Brullo.

For the last 6 months Higor's father has not found work, and the raising of his support is a big challenge. At this point if we can't raise the $2200 (two thousand and two hundred dollars) Higor will not be able to be part of the team. Any help you can give will go 100% to  his support to pay for the airfare, insurance, US Visa, food, lodging and transportation while in USA.

HIgor's oppotunity to attend the Amazing Cal Arts (Disney founded College - www.calarts.edu) Community Arts Partnership (www.calarts.edu/CAP) program it will give him, as it did to every young artist we have taken to the program since 2009, a tremendous booster in his skills, and as well as, an amazing cultural experience that will impact his point of view from there into the future.

Through the years we have raised the money in Rio for this project with the help of various groups. This year the American Society, with the support of US Consul General in Rio, Jimmy Story and his wife Susan, and the fund raising champion Anna Whyte, we have raised near $7000 thousand dollars. Enough for almost 3 participants; the cost per young people is $2500 dollars which includes everything; Tickets, Transportation in US, Medical Insurance, Lodging and Food in USA, US Visa, and a $100 per young people so they can have some of their own money while in US for 4 weeks.

The program this year starts on a Monday, July 10th, and will end on Friday Aug 4th. It will be at the Sonia Sotomayor Learning Academies located at 2050 N San Fernando Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90065.
From Monday through Friday, 10 through 5 pm, the young artists from Brazil along with 200+ young artists from US, will work their arts facilitated by Cal Arts Professors. Each young artist in their areas of Arts.

With your help Higor will also be able to say what others have said before;
"I am living a dream I never had."
(Rebecca, attended in 2016)

Remember,

"Any amount of support to a Godly cause is never a waste, and neither too little."
