Help support Canyon fight Osteosarcoma bone cancer
Donation protected
Canyon is 10 years old and lived a very active lifestyle always riding his bike, 4-wheeler, snowmachine, playing with his friends, family, dogs, chickens, and turkeys. He loves camping, hunting, fishing and trapping. He enjoys playing fun pranks and giving sweet hugs, just to get other people to smile. In March, Canyon was diagnosed with stage 4 osteosarcoma, a rare childhood bone cancer. Alaska is our home but we have been stuck in Seattle, in and out of the Children's hospital for chemotherapy and surgeries since his diagnosis. There isn't a day that Canyon hasn't cried to go home to see his family and friends. In June, Canyon had to have his left leg amputated above his knee as the main tumor was in and wrapped around his femur. He has at least 5 spots that will have to be removed from his lungs in December. Through many many prayers we keep moving forward. Canyon is 100% our hero! It is my goal everyday to make him smile! Canyon now has a prosthetic leg but has only been able to use it very little as the chemo has prevented his leg from healing. We look forward to the day that all chemo and surgeries are done, he can master his new leg through physical therapy and we get to return home. We are asking for donations for many different reasons. It brings Canyon such joy to get to explore new places in Seattle on his good days. His dad and sister were here all summer but had to return home for school and to make major modifications to our home to make it easier for Canyon. We need to get a few more medical devices that insurance won't cover to make life easier for Canyon. Even if you can't donate funds, please send prayers. This little boy has been through so much and still has a long road to travel. He is fighting every step of the way one day at a time.
