Friends & Family,
I come to you with a humble heart and ask that you join me in uplifting a family very near to me. Many of you know my sister Jenifer. What you don’t know is that alcoholism took root in her family and after a decade of erosion, dealt its final blow earlier this past weekend. As she faces her next chapter as a widow and her four children face a future with no hope of a father in recovery, I am asking for your support, thoughts and prayers. And during this holiday season, if you are inclined to give to charity I ask that you consider their family: Vincent (11), Lela Rose (7), Violet (5) and Lilian (3).
Jenifer is the strongest woman I have ever know but as we all know even the strongest need our support. I have a strong tribe in my life so I’m asking that you all embrace her and surround her with your love and prayers.
There are unknown legal and medical costs, mortgage payments, automobile considerations, overdue home repairs, necessities for the kids and of course Christmas is around the corner.
I sincerely appreciate anything you have to offer as she looks to build a future for her children. I’ve also made this post public should you have a strong tribe that might share this post with to help me uplift her in this next chapter.
