We're a couple who live modestly with our two chocolate Labrador dogs. We both work, but don't have high-income jobs. We drive a 9-year-old car, and haven't taken a vacation since 2011. I'm Tracy, and my husband is René.
I suffered a "slipped disc" at the end of November, and haven't been able to return to my job since the beginning of December. While René continues to work and take care of me, we are really starting to struggle financially without my pay cheque. I don't have benefits, since mine is a part-time job, and one salary isn't covering all of our regular household bills (groceries, mortgage, utilities, etc.). I could really benefit from a program of physiotherapy and massage therapy, but we can't afford more than one or two sessions, so I'm not recovering as quickly as I could.
We need a little help, financially, to get us through until I can get back on my feet and get back to work. Any donation, no matter how modest, would make a big difference in reducing our stress levels while we attempt to make ends meet.
