Cannonballs For Brendan

Donation protected
On May 17, 2018 Brendan O’Callaghan was involved in a deadly school bus crash on Route 80 while him and his classmates were on their way to a wonderful class field trip to Waterloo Village in NJ. Brendan suffered multiple injuries to his head, ribs and clavicle, causing him to spend days in the hospital and physical therapy sessions. Brendan spends a few days a week doing physical therapy and visiting different doctors. In order to make this happen, Brendan’s parents have to take time off work and in some cases, lose the opportunity to make the overtime and extra hours that help them pay their bills. Now with the medical bills piling up, things are getting tight in the O’Callaghan household.

Brendan finally returned home a few weeks ago and was told by his medical team that he could only do light physical activity with no sports or heavy running. To someone as active as Brendan, this came as a huge disappointment. Just recently Brendan was given the ok by his doctor to go swimming. This was such a relief to him because he was looking forward to swimming in his pool. Last week, Jason Chamberlin and I helped our good friend Arnie (Brendan’s Dad) put together the family pool. We worked hours in the hot blazing sun sweating and gasping for air. After a few hours the pool was up and ready to clean and fill. The look on Brendan’s face was priceless. He was so happy to have his pool almost ready.

Unfortunately, it turned out that Brendan would have to wait even longer to swim in his pool due to damage to the pool lining. The pool cannot be repaired and must be replaced. Since the money is tight right now in the O’Callaghan household, they cannot afford to replace the pool. Brendan’s first cannonball is now put on hold. Therefore, I am starting this “Go Fund Me Page”, because I want to give Brendan the opportunity to swim in his pool since there is nothing else this wonderful child can do this summer due to his health restrictions. Please reach into your heart and donate a couple of dollars to help Brendan jump in his pool again. Let’s all Jump in For Brendan!!
