My name is Debbie and my closest friend since childhood, Candy Menard, is currently not working due to her having heart failure. I just went to visit her in New Hampshire from Florida this past Labor Day weekend to celebrate our friendship, knowing it could be the last time we have fun together if she does not get a heart transplant. Candy should have been admitted to the hospital last Tuesday for evaluation to be placed on the heart transplant list. Candy currently has heart failure with only 22% of her heart pumping ability. Due to her husband needing open-heart surgery this week, she has delayed being admitted to the hospital until on or around September 15th. She is currently not working due to her heart condition and has always been the breadwinner of the family, paying all household and medical expenses. I'm asking as her friend, to please help and donate what you can. If Candy qualifies for a new heart, she will be in the Hospital in Boston, MA, for an unknown length of time waiting for a match for the heart transplant. Candy has applied for Social Security disability benefits but has been told she will not know if approved or denied until approximately January. Every little bit helps; all donations will go directly to Candy so she can cover all living and medical expenses. I personally thank anyone who can help her in this time of need.
