Candle Fire Destroys Bedroom

Donation protected
"At approximately 2:34 pm, CKFR was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 15000 block of NW Seabeck Creek Way, Bremerton.

Initial reports indicated that a candle had been knocked over and a back bedroom was on fire. Occupants were evacuating the structure and advised firefighters there was a lizard housed in the bedroom that was on fire. Crews located the lizard and moved it to a safe spot in the home.

At 2:57 pm, the fire was reported as under control while firefighters continued to assess the structure for any extension into the walls or overhead space. Shortly afterwards, the fire was fully extinguished." - Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue

We come to you with a heavy heart to share the unfortunate news that the home of Eva Merritt, Aiyana Wellman, and Aiyana's 2-year-old son Harlow have recently experienced a traumatizing candle fire in their home, resulting in the loss of personal items, clothes, and more.

As we approach the holiday season, a time for joy and celebration, this family is facing unexpected challenges and uncertainties. Your generous support and donations can make a significant difference in helping them rebuild and recover during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in providing much-needed assistance to this family. Let's come together and show them the true spirit of giving and compassion.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
