Service Dog Training for CandieCane
Donation protected
Hello my name is Rosalee Mae Hiett. To most of my friends it's Rosie or Rosie Mae. I am trying to raise money to help pay for my dog Candie Cane to be further trained to be my service dog. Right now we have been working on getting the basic training done at an area Petsmart. This has been a hard process as I have still been dealing with seizures and my anxiety as well as panic attacks during the weeks of training. This training has been a finacial hardship as well. We would need the moneys before she can start her service dog training. We have another 6 weeks for her basics given that we will not need to retake the class if she fails. All the money raised would go to her service dog training to be done. I would like her to start her service training as soon as possible or by January 2017 at the latest. This is very important to me as I have had seizures all my life. The medications DO NOT seem to be helping control them like they once did. I have also been battling with anxiety, panic attacks and depression since I was 17years old. My doctors as well as other health care professionals all feel it would be great for me to have a dog with me at all times.
It means a lot for me as I feel like over the last year especially I have lost some of my independence like I felt I had for a time. Right now I am not allowed to drive with much understanding to why. I have to rely on friends and family to take me places and they also would rather I not even take a walk by myself. I am mostly homebound or allowed to walk our yard around the house and that is it. Having my dog Candie Cane with me all the time would mean me the world to me. She has been a comfort to me in my home and even during her basic training as she has been attentive when I have had seizures during class. I will be extremely thankful to you all if you can please donate whatever you are possible to give. I ask that you please talk it over with your family and loved ones and pray about it. May God Bless you all and have a great day. Thank you again.
