Candelario Suarez *Fundraiser*

On April 8, 2020 our beloved father Candelario Suarez “El Candy” passed away from COVID-19 complications.
Candy was the only son of Efrain and Herminda Suarez they migrated from Michoacán Mexico with his family to San Jose CA, where they all raised their families together. He took care of all his family, sisters and mom after his father passed away. Candy took over his parents love for cooking-his specialty birria and that’s what he was known for. His love, passion and hard work helped him build a community of generations of cooks.
Everyone who knew him knew him as a happy person, humble, intelligent, always laughing, making jokes, drinking his Models and of course his love for El America. With his illuminating personality and contagious smile, he built a space for laughter, dancing, celebrating, eating and don’t forget- Banda. Nacos Tacos was his second home and he lived to genuinely get to know every customer as a family member and give more than enough back.
There are not enough words to describe the light our dad brought to this world and how dark it is without him. It is even more sad that we cannot give him the celebration of life that he deserves and that’s so many people would want to attend. The money we will raise will be used to put him to rest as well as to host a large mass and gathering over a few days(weeks) for all to come and give their respects when the county will allow is to.
We give out love to all of those that knew our dad and are hurting for him now. We would like you all to know that our father loved everyone as if they were family and never wanted anyone to be sad. We are waiting for the moment we can all be together again and honor El Nacos in the way he would have wanted and deserves.
He leaves behind the love of his life Silvia Suarez, five children and two grandchildren. His wife is still battling against Covid19 in the hospital. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. As you do so, please refrain from contacting family members about her status, as it’s emotionally hard and draining to answer everyone’s questions, thank you.
