Candace Is Going to Need Your Help!

I'm starting a gofund me for my sister Candace. She gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby girl May 26, 2021. Her name is Grace. Two days later, the morning of the 28th, Candace jolted me out of my sleep so I could hold the baby while she was experiencing one of the worst pains imaginable. Her aorta dissected. As all the nurses, respiratory therapists and doctors rushed to help her, Grace slept peacefully in my arms not knowing what the future holds for her mommy. We were supposed to go home that afternoon.

Candace was rushed out of the birth pavilion at Scripps Encinitas, to the ICU and later transferred to Scripps La Jolla for open heart surgery for a Type A aortic dissection. I was left with Grace as our bliss turned to shock and fear, waiting and praying that Candace would be ok.

I received guardianship of Grace legally so that I could take care of her while Candace's husband, Joel keeps a watchful eye on what is happening to his wife. 

The evening if the 28th we received news that Candace made it through surgery and it was miraculous that they were able to put in a stint and close her up so quickly. Now she is in the Cardiac ICU on her road to recovery so she can be reunited with her new baby girl and her one year old son. 

Hospital bills are horrible, and with a new baby added on top of it.. it's not going to be easy. We are asking anyone and everyone, out of the kindness of your heart, if you would like to donate to help us with Candace's medical expenses and baby expenses we would be forever grateful.
