Hi, my name is Mary Hart. I am the proud and only child of Cynthia Hart/Kizerian and Jimmy Hart. This is the NEW GoFund Me page for my mom Cynthia, who is battling stage 3C Ovarian Cancer. This GoFund me page is strictly for raising money for my mom to have the opportunity to go overseas in order to get stem cell treatment and a variety of other treatments by a world renowned doctor.
First off all my mom, Cynthia Hart/Kizerian, is off of ALL Opiates and Benzodiazepines!!!!! Now she only uses cannabis and takes 1 CBD (look it up) Capsule at bedtime to help manage her symptoms. Recently there have been studies with people who have cancer and CBD and cannabis in general. But the CBD could possibly be killing cancer cells in the body. Not only that but there was a study about CBD and one of the types of chemo my mom is receiving EVERY week, Paclitaxel. There were 2 large groups of mice with cancer. Group 1 got only Paclitaxel, Group 2 also getting Paxitaxol AND CBD. In Group 1 that only received Paxitaxol, a large amount of the mice developed neuropathy and permanent nerve damage. In Group 2 the mice that received Pacitaxol and CBD, a small amount devoloped mild neuropathy symptoms, the rest of the mice in that group did NOT develope any signs of neuropathy or nerve damage. For my mother to be off all opiates and benzos and managing her symptoms with CBD and getting treatment overseas is a HUGE life changing success and opportunity! She's been battling addiction with opiates and benzos for 14 years. It took a very scary traumatic experience to get her to have the change of mindset but now she's free and doing better than she ever (minus the cancer and chemo)! I'm finally getting my mom back and she's fighting like hell! Celebrate for my mom and think positive thoughts for her future! I am so proud of her and that she proved me wrong!!
All funds donated are going into our doctors business bank account through Bank of America. My mom and I do not have access to any funds. For the doctors privacy I'd rather not say her name.
This treatment could possible get my mom cancer free for good. Their are no risk factors, if anything it will make her healthier as a whole. Sounds crazy, but there's a lack of medical advancement and curing in the U.S. They don't treat people as individuals. A diagnosis is a general group of people with similar symptoms. The U.S. doesn't look into causes of each individuals cancers, and this is how it is with most "diseases." The U.S. does not look at DNA, doesn't look for mutations in DNA. DNA creates and determines how our body's function and this is how it is with all living beings. The U.S. has protocols, which treat a "diagnosis" based on physical symptoms and resulting in giving you all sorts of pharmaceuticals.
Everybody's body functions differently, immune system, what were more vulnerable to, etc. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT and deserve to get health care that treats us individually rather than generalizing us and our illnesses. Then, patients are given pharmaceuticals to mask symptoms and not treat the underlying problem.
This treatment overseas is our last hope. Anything helps. Even if it's just love, support and positive vibes.
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO THE FIRST GOFUND ME PAGE!
With the help from you all the doctor was able to administer testing on my mom and sent samples of her blood to a world famous lab in the UK. This lab looks for causes of terminal diseases and cancers and looks at the mutations in the DNA that could have caused, or triggered these diseases.
Of course genetics can be a factor, but that's NOT the case for my mom. My mother and I both got full panel genetic testing for ovarian and breast cancer done at Huntsman. Both test and came back NEGATIVE for all the genetic genes they know of.
The lab in the UK will not take any applications from any U.S. doctor or facility simply because they don't want to be commercialized. My moms test results came back, they showed mutations in my moms DNA and all of her cells from a number of things she was exposed to. This includes a pharmaceutical she has been taking for years. I'm not good at explaining this but basically they found the cause or the trigger of why my mom got ovarian cancer and why it happened so rapidly, why her body started functioning differently. My mom got a biopsy done late in 2012 of the outer tissue of her ovaries. Nothing indicated cancer. Usually with someone who has stage 3C Ovarian Cancer the cancer manifest for years until they finally see visual symptoms. The reason why ovarian cancer is so deadly is because usually women only catch it when it's in later stages. Also usually women with ovarian cancer have never been fertal.
I'll tell you a little more about myself and my family. I am 22 years old. I've been blessed with a beautiful life, and a relationship, bond, and love with my parents that will last forever, whether they're present or not. I was the primary caregiver and power of attorney for my Dad (Jimmy Hart) who had ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and Frontal Lobe Dementia. He recently passed away on October 6, 2014. My mom was diagnosed in December 2014, on the heels of my father's demise, and now I am her primary caregiver and power of attorney. I truly believe my parents were/are the most unbelievable parents. They both have loved me unconditionally, and never gave up on me, no matter how many mistakes I made, they still believed in me. I don't know if anyone understands how important to me it was/is to take care of my parents and make them proud. I went through my "terrible teens" and was in a really bad place and made way too many mistakes. That time I regret the most and wish I could go back. But the fact my father and my mother chose me to care for them and to be they're Power of Attorney means they trusted/ trust me with their lives. In a way I think it was a way they showed me forgiveness and I'm so thankful and honored.
My dad typed in his iPad a few weeks before he passed that said "don't stop fighting for me til the day you die." I'm still trying to figure out what he meant by that. But I know he'd want me to do everything I possibly could to give my mom a second chance at life and give her chance to fulfill her dreams.
On April 20th will be the start of cycle 5th, and the cycle 6th, the last cycle will start on May 11th, resulting in completion of chemo on May 25th. Since the U.S. does not have anything to maintain or prevent the advance of ovarian cancers, the chance of her cancer coming back is much higher. 1 out of 6 women with stage 3C ovarian cancer live only 5 years. I can't settle for that!
The medical facility is in Jamaica in Montego Bay, where the doctor resides. The doctor and her medical facility have had great reports from other patients who have traveled and got the treatment specified for them. the doctor is confident and looking forward to helping my mom, Cynthia with prevention and residual cancer eradication. Unfortunately her CA-125 cancer marker, has not changed with the chemo so far. Regarding my mom's treatment, it is extremely difficult for me to try to explain but what I do know is that my mom will be getting a fully integrated approach that includes diet, lifestyle, intravenous infusions targeted at her particular cancer and mobilized peripheral blood stem cells to build her back up. Ideally, we should go in the beginning of June to have the highest chance of stopping the cancer dead in its tracks and from what they found from the testings her cancer will come back fast and aggressive when she's not on chemo. We will be there for one month.
I have hope for this treatment and this doctor. This doctor helped my father and many other ALS patient, as well as patients with different terminal cancer patients, to all sorts of diseases. Simply by looking at their DNA which can be fixed by the study of stem cells, infusions and diet and lifestyle. Tricking the body. My father was going to do stem cell therapy with this doctor. Unfortunately, he wasn't able travel before he passed. This doctor did the same test on my father that she did on my mom. What they found in my father's findings was that he had DNA adducts from Rampril (altace), which defected every single one his cells. This defect in his cells from the Ramipril could have been the cause, trigger for his rapid deterioration and passing.
Because of my father's state of dementia, he was taken advantage finically by people he knew for many years and thought they were trust worthy. With frontal lobe dementia, decision making is impaired, reasoning is impaired, most everything cognitively is affected. These people took full advantage of him up until he was on his death bed somehow making him feel guilty for NO reason except them wanting more money. Karma will be a bitch. We Sold our house and his cars and motar cycles but between paying my fathers and mothers medical bills, daily living, food, rent, etc. my mother and I are stuck with a large and growing debt.
I want to have the chance to get my mother help as soon as possible. I have so much hope for my mom's future. My mom also lost her mother Febuary 2014. To say the least this is been the hardest year and a half both my mother and I have gone through. Bottom line my mom deserves to live a long, fulfilled life on her own terms. Her dream has always been of moving to Hawaii and owning a bathing suit shop. As soon as my mother is healthy, I have every intention of helping her with this dream, as I plan on doing an internship with the doctor and then going back to school.
My goal is to be able to help my mom financially. My mother and father gave me a very blessed life, and I want to be able to someday return what they have given to me. I would like to plan a fundraiser event as well, but need help, big time, planning it! I just underwent heart surgery and am caring for my mom, facilitating everything medically for her, and barely have time for anything else. So if you can't donate, any support would be greatly appreciated. Fundraiser ideas would help, even just spreading the word! Thanks for taking the time reading our story! My mom will beat the odds no matter what I have to do, she's a fighter. So if you can help support us in any way we would be so thankful!
