Fight with Abie #Gillstrong

My husband Abraham Gill was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer on Sept 24,2020 he is a hard working man dedicated to his family. We have been together for 12yrs and have 4 children total with 2 of them being very young. The lack of care COVID has caused in some clinics has pushed us to seek care in Phoenix, AZ and add some extra obstacles to our current livelihood . Abie is recovering from surgery but we don’t stop there on 11/6/20 we will be starting chemotherapy IV infusions every 3 weeks for 6 months along with oral chemo everyday at Ironwood Cancer Research Center in Mesa, AZ. I am currently still working a full time job but from going from 2 paychecks to 1 with a family of 5 at home and traveling expenses added to our household bills has taken its toll and we are kindly asking for help from our community. Our goal is to keep him home for the next 6 months during chemo due to drop of immune system and his work being at the Yuma Landfill where exposure levels to hazards are very high. I know cancer has hit so many families, children especially but we all grieve and mourn and need help at times. He is a father, a son, a brother, a nephew, an uncle, a cousin and foremost he is “ My better half.” #Gillstrong
