Cancer Tries to Take Everything...

A few weeks ago, Chamane Barbatti was delivered devastating news... she has cancer in both breasts. Cancer is prevalent in her family as her mom survived it multiple times, but nothing prepared her for the official diagnosis. After 30 years of annual screenings and high hopes, it was believed that the lethal cancer genes may have skipped a generation. But no such luck.
After multiple visits with specialists, Chamane had to make the arduous decision of treatment. Which road to take? How aggressive will the cancer become? Will she respond to minimal treatments? Luckily, she caught it during the early stages but if her fate was anything like her mom's, the cancer would return.
On May 22nd, Chamane made the painstaking decision to undergo a double mastectomy. It was not an easy decision but one that will hopefully save her life. She is recovering from surgery and unfortunately will be out of work for the next 6 to 8 weeks with no income. Anyone who has undergone a catastrophic health situation knows that insurance pays minimally and some of the reconstructive procedures are not covered.
She and her circle of family and friends are asking for any support that may help alleviate medical and household expenses while she is out of work.
