Save my mom.. Help her beat cancer

Hi my name is Megha Gupta and I am writing this on behalf of my family(my sister Mrisha Gupta ,my dad and my husband Alok kumar) to you.

To give you a brief introduction my mother has a very aggressive form of stage 4 breast cancer which has now metastasized to various organs (liver,lungs, shoulders,neck).

She was initially diagnosed with cancer in May 2016 and after a series of chemotherapy,radiation and mastectomy I thought we had conquered the disease. The whole process was very hard on the Family but it was worst for my mother as the pain was visible on her small frame. We celebrated her follow up, post the last radiation session, with the doctor when she was declared cancer free to be jostled back to the same situation only it was worse this time.

Because of the multiple number of tumors doctors ruled out surgery this time and went straight to chemo. After the completion of 3 chemo cycles the test revealed that the tumors have not shrunk and rather spread to other parts of her body. On questioning the oncologist for alternatives that would suit her more she was asked to continue with more chemo. This was in the top most cancer hospital of India. I would not blame them because India has no other alternative for cancer treatment.

We were not ready to give up and we could also see that the full body chemo on my mother was making her weaker but her will to live was strong. After a lot of research we discovered a cancer hospital in China(Fuda).They provide multiple Therapies and the latest technology in cancer treatment. They have targeted chemo and iodine seeds as as an alternative to harmful medication for radiation. They conduct genetic study to ensure that the right medicine is given to the patient for maximum effect.

The hospital is God sent to us. My mother's condition has definitely improved but the treatment has just started. We have utilized all our reources in terms of insurance, savings, help from family and friends and loans. We are two sisters who are not financially established but invested whatever we had into this.

This is where we desperately need your help. Her treatment is ongoing and requires our commitment to the hospital for at least 2 years. The rough estimate provided to us is approximately Rs.32 lakhs (45000 USD or 61000 CAD). The amount mentioned in the goal is in CAD as I am writing from Canada but all currencies are acceptable. Whatever you can contribute however small an amount will lend a helping hand towards my mother's treatment. This is our last hope to ensure that she gets the treatment that she deserves.

This is not only for my mother but for all those other cancer patients and their families who have been told that chemotherapy is the only medication to cancer. We have seen so many of our family and our friends family die because they had no choice. If the treatment works( as is so far) we would ensure and spread the word about the hospital as much as we can.

In the end I would like to let you know that though my mother has achieved nothing as per the world but she means the world to us. She has put everything aside for her family now is her time to live.
