Cancer Treatment for My Aunt Dee Dee

My name is Kelly Torres and I’m fundraising for my Aunt Dee Dee. She is the sweetest, kindest woman I’ve ever known. Her love for life, nature, and God has made me a better person.

Because I was adopted, I missed out on eighteen years of time with her. We were reunited when I was eighteen, and since then, she’s been a constant source of love and acceptance in my life. She’s been there for me, just to listen, when no one else was, never expecting anything in return. All she has ever had for me is love.

Dee Dee had a mastectomy a few years ago to combat her breast cancer, and unfortunately the cancer has returned, and has likely metastasized to her lungs. Still, in all of her suffering over the last few years, all she has is gratitude; nothing is too small for her to celebrate.

Dee Dee wants to attend the 14 day cancer program at Eden Valley in Loveland, Colorado. I’m raising money to help make this possible for her. She’s hoping to make the February opening, as her condition has worsened and treatment has become urgent.

My precious Aunt is a mother, a sister, an Aunt; a Great Aunt to my children, and a talented artist. She has been such a gift to me, and a true light in the world. With all the love she’s given me, I’m overjoyed to be able to help her get the cancer treatment she wants.
