Cancer Treatment for little Yuki

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Leigh and I’m the honoured cat mum and guardian of little Yuki

Yuki has been diagnosed with Nasal Large Cell Lymphoma, an aggressive cancer which left untreated will only give him months to live. I am hoping to change that outcome by raising funds towards his care. His type of cancer is incurable but it is treatable with the possibility of extending his life to his natural age, and that’s something I’m aiming for.

Yuki is a beloved rescue cat. I remember I was in the middle of a bingo game and saw his face pop up on an adoption site across the country. I may have won money that night but I’ll never know because I immediately marched out and contacted the rescue! A double trip to go and get him and he was home within two days. He was 10 months old and the cuddliest and friendliest cat (still is to this day)

Hearing the news has been devastating. Not only to myself but the family and friends. He’s really loved by everyone. This is a cat that tried to catch a moth and because it’s wing fluttered, he got a fright and the moth escaped, leaving Yuki bewildered. He’s the cat that rolls at your feet, purrs round your legs, always greets strangers and always wants to play. When I first got the news that I’d lost my dad, Yuki was the first at my feet. I’d love a bit longer with him to really take in more of those moments and to keep him comfortable.

Up until now all of Yuki’s treatment has been self paid for, exhausting finances (but he’s worth it) and all efforts are being made to give him access to the care he needs. He was first suspected of having a cold, then cat flu, then possible pneumonia and finally an obstruction. A rhinoscopy showed he had a cancerous tumour blocking his airway.

I am not asking for the full treatment costs to be covered, only half. I have full paperwork and receipts as proof of diagnosis and treatments so far. All monies raised will be out towards Radiation Therapy, Chemo or a combination of both.

I’d like to take this moment to thank Yuki Vets, clinical professionals and generally everyone who cares or donates. Every little bit will help

Pets are Family, Never Just a Pet, and Yuki is worth this fight

UPDATE

Yuki’s Vet has been in touch with Oncologists and I’ll be having a conversation with them within the next 2-3 days on moving forward with treatment options. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far! You have opened up vital resources for Yuki that will allow for any extra tests and also starting the course. I will keep you updated!
