My sister’s beloved doggo, Indy, was recently diagnosed with cancer. It began in his urethra and has since spread to his prostate, bladder, and hip bone. Being the amazing, tough, perpetually happy pup that he is, he showed no symptoms until the cancer had spread.
Sarah is working with an amazing team at Vet Cancer Group with Access Specialty Animal Hospital in Culver City to do whatever can be done, but Indy’s prognosis with treatment is 6 months - 1 year. His current treatment plan is a combination of chemo and radiation, which requires anesthesia for each round. The team helping Indy has given Sarah a minimum estimate of $12,000.
Our goal is to make the rest of Indy’s life as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He has been Sarah’s rock since she brought him home at 5 weeks old, acting as her support throughout the years, especially when she battled anxiety and depression. Indy will be 9 next month, but he has the spirit and agility of a 2-year-old, and we all expected many more years with him. No matter how long we have with our pets, it’s never enough, but we are hoping we can give Sarah and Indy just a little bit more time together.
Any donation amount helps, and all funds will be used for Indy's treatment. Please help us spread the word — we want to help this amazing good boy as much as we can!
