Cancer Treatment for Ibra's Dad In Tanzania

Hi Friends & Family of Ibra Nyiti!

Ibra was our dear exchange student son from Tanzania who lived with us in 2017-2018. He had a fantastic year living in Sitka, Alaska, meeting new friends, attending Sitka High School, playing on the soccer team and being involved with the Sitka Lutheran Church. He performed community services work in Sitka & fully immersed himself in American culture. He loved spending time with our family & friends even when it snowed & rained.

We have received recent news of Ibra's dad being diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Ibra returned to Tanzania from University in India to be with his family & help his father with treatments. Ibra's family has a national health insurance plan however complicated treatments are not covered. By sending some money to his family, this will allow his father to receive better care & ease his mother's financial burden.
