Cancer treatment for Chimi
Donation protected

UPDATE:
Chimi has returned home to Bhutan safely and her health is improving. The support and donations from everyone has been greatly appreciated and her outlook is great. Thank you so much to everyone who donated and supported her during a difficult year, it is so much appreciated by everyone!
Thank you!
Chimi came from Bhutan to Brisbane to help care for her children and grandchildren. She was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 lymphoma and has a good chance of recovery after treatment with chemotherapy which has commenced in October 2020.
Each dose of chemo costs $10,000aud and there are associated hospital expenses of over $1000 per day. Doctors expect she will need at least 6 doses of chemo in total, the current plan is for her to return to Bhutan after the next treatment. Payment is required at each treatment so we need to raise these funds by the beginning of December. Chimi was widowed 10 years ago, her daughters have exhausted all their reserves and borrowed from friends and family to cover the treatment so far so they really need any help they can receive. Chimi is currently being cared for at Wesley Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland Australia. With the impact of COVID19 and the difficulties associated with travel this is a very complex & changeable situation, if Chimi's health becomes worse or the COVID situation prevents the flight home she will need to continue treatment here pushing the cost out to $100,000aud+ so we are hopeful that all goes well from here.
Please join us to help raise funds to support Chimi's treatment so she may continue to care for her daughters, sons-in-law and see her grandchildren grow up.
