We had shared the story of our young fighter friend Ambarish (10 Years old, studying in Grade 5) last year who is fighting his battle with rarest form of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and our appeal for raising funds for helping his parents for the costly treatment.
With the help of generous wellwishers like you, Ambarish could undergo Bone Marrow Transplant and treatment of the essential drug BINCYTO to check the growth of the disease. We were happy that the dual treatment worked well for last over 9-10 months and Ambarish could be back to school happily with remarkable academic progress to go along with it.
Sadly, we have found that in the last month the disease has relapsed. We have to go for the world's only and assured treatment of CAR-T for him. At the end of rigorous brainstorming between a panel of specialist doctors including those in USA, this is the treatment that will prove ultimate life saver for Ambarish.
Just to give you brief idea about CAR-T treatment, it includes genetically modifying his own blood cells in lab to gain the characteristics of cancer cells killer and reintroducing them in his body.
