My father has been battling Cancer since 2010. His health insurance company in South Africa won’t fund the medication that his oncologist has suggested he start. It costs R1000 per pill for 4 pills a day, that’s R1 460 00-00 Rand, that’s £73000-00. I would like to raise at least half of that so that he can afford to self fund the rest. When he was first diagnosed, they gave him 3 months to live. That was nearly 11 years ago. Suffice to say that he’s a fighter. I’ve just been with him for 2 months and he’s not looking his best...that said, I want him to have the best chance possible to be able to beat this, or at least try to beat it.  This medication has had good results for others and I am hopeful that it will help him too. 

He’s been through radiation and chemo, this is all that’s left. I think he deserves a fighting chance to prove his doctors wrong. Don’t you?
