My name is Lakshmi, and I am seeking your help in raising money for a 23-year-old young undocumented patient of ours at Norris Cancer Center at USC. He has a type of blood cancer called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and thus far has been resistant to chemotherapy. He lives here alone with no family support. He has a job with no benefits, and given his undocumented status, he is not qualified for any additional resources. In other words, if he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. Because of his need to work and pay his bills, he refused to stay admitted to the hospital or make frequent visits to the cancer center for aggressive chemotherapy as he cannot afford the loss of pay from his job. He recently stopped his chemotherapy, which means he risks rapid progression of his disease.

Please help raise money to give this young man a fighting chance to get treated for his cancer. Without treatment, he will not live long enough to see his 24th birthday. Any amount will help. Every dollar donated will be given directly to this young man for his cancer treatment. Time is of the essence for his longevity. Please help reach our goal as soon as possible so we can provide him with financial support so he can start his chemotherapy immediately.
