*********Update**********
Jaime has unfortunately passed away at 2:10 pm on 10/2. She is now at peace and with God!
Losing a family member is heartbreaking, but to know my sister is no longer in pain or suffering makes it a little easier! I love you Jaime Lynn (my bonus sister who my brother brought into my life when I was 12) you will be missed dearly by many!!!
I am Elizabeth Rogers, and I am raising money for my brother who is losing his 44 year old wife to cancer. They met in 1996 and have been together for 25 years. They are high school sweethearts, with three children and three grandchildren.
He is too proud to ask for help.
Originally he was going to need help with aftercare treatment, but unfortunately the cancer and chemo effects will not allow that!
She was flown to Syracuse on 9/16/25, after suffering multiple seizures, and was then placed on a ventilator. After 14 days with little to no improvement, Josh, unfortunately, had to make the hardest decision of his life, in Jaime’s best interest, and recommended by the doctors, to move her over to comfort care.
Comfort care is where all treatments are stopped and only comfort is of concern. It will allow her to pass peacefully, and she can finally fly high, pain free. She has already defied the odds and out lived her 5 year cancer prognosis.
She is currently on her second day of comfort care and the time is nearing. Josh and her children have been at her side this whole time. They have all missed three weeks of work, as well as enduring travel and lodging expenses. The world doesn’t halt for personal tragedies, but this close knit family chose wife and mom over all else.
Josh and family will also need help with after life expenses. Her wishes will be honored and she will be cremated and placed in necklaces for those who are close to her. Then there will be a happy celebration of life and no sad funeral.
She is an amazing woman with a heart of gold who put everyone else first and does not deserve this. Anyone who knows her knows this to be true!
Thank you to all who can help!
