A few days ago I noticed an abnormality on Kyzik.  I thought it was an infection of some sort, which isn't abnormal since he has a thyroid condition and often has flare ups.  So, we went to the vet first thing in the morning thinking the visit would be a routine visit.  My heart was crushed to hear the bump wasn't a cyst and far from routine. The vet said the bump is a tumor that extends two inches deep on his hind side.  As I held back tears unsuccessfully, the vet explained that most people don't notice these types of tumors until they are protruding and inoperable.   This type of cancer is aggressive and can very swiftly end in heart break.  They said if they had the ability to do it at the vet then and there they would have.  They referred me to an oncologist in the local area to get an appointment set.  They recommended I call around even to neighboring states to see if anyone can see him sooner, so I did.  Unfortunately,  Covid has caused all treatment facilities to limit how many patients they can take.  The earliest appointment I could get is Thursday 07/16/20.  However, we have a window of hope and it currently is operable.  He cant take any pain medications currently due to his thyroid and the upcoming blood work, and can barley use the bathroom........ My poor child needs all the help he can get.  He has touched so many lives and brought so much joy to everyone hes met.  Please help me save my best friend.  He is the love of my life, my first child, and I truly cant even put into words the space he holds in my life and my heart.  The vet said the procedures can get very pricey, so I am setting a goal of $8,000 for now. Anything helps even a buck. Of course money is the goal but I fully understand times are tight I love our community and I’m so lucky to know such genuinely amazing humans and my hope is that we all know someone who might have the financial stability to help and ur voice is so powerful <3
