My name is Sonya Lee Rankins. I am a 52 year old proud mother of 3 beautiful children and 6 grandchildren. I've worked as a Supervisor at UPS for 5 years. I am also known as Black Diamond the President of the Women of Steel S.C. I was recently diagnosed with Leiomyo Sarcoma a rare form of cancer which is known as a smooth muscle neoplasm. It's a tumor that grew from my liver and is now encompassing my major organs which puts me in excruciating pain, daily. The tumor is growing rapidly, so I have been receiving aggressive chemotherapy sessions with the hopes to shrink the tumor to an operable size, so that it could be safely removed surgically.

Over the past two months, my life has changed dramatically.  I've gone from  healthy and vibrant to taking pain medication daily, losing my hair and nails and having to depend on others to assist me with my regular everyday routines.

Although I have some medical insurance thru my employer, it only covers 80% of my expenses. This go fund me is being setup to cover the remaining balance for surgery and rehabilitation costs in order to save my life. Im not asking for any handouts,  but a second chance at life to watch my grandchildren grow.
