Adam was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in December of 2016. One of the side effects of his chemotherapy caused him to develop AVN which damaged his hips to the point of needing a double hip replacement. He anticipated to have both hips replaced this November. When he went in for a routine chemotherapy appointment on September 24 they discovered that his cancer had returned which means two additional years of treatment and he will not be able to have his hips replaced for at least those two years. Adam has been told that his treatment will be intensive enough that he will not be able to work for at least a year. Additionally, he and Taylor welcomed their first baby, Sterling, into the world on September 12.
