Help Greg with Cancer Support
Donation protected
In January my sweet dad Greg slipped on some ice while home alone and injured his leg, his injury developed into a blood blister which turned into a large open wound. He initially spent three weeks in the hospital and then two more in an in-patient rehab facility doing occupational therapy to regain his ability to walk. Greg is already immunocompromized due to cancer treatments for multiple myeloma and last week he developed an infection and found himself back in the hospital on IV antibiotics. Now the infection is under control but his doctors are recommending a skin graft to speed his healing and decrease the risk of future infection. This surgery is hopefully going to improve his wound care regimen but it’ll mean a month of wearing a splint and recovering.
My dad has done his best over the past decade and a half of battling cancer, extended hospital stays, chronic pain, mobility decline, heart surgeries, and diabetes to keep his spirits high but this injury and recovery are starting to wear on his spirits as well as my mom’s ability to work and pay bills. Even before this injury, my mom was struggling to take care of the house, get my dad to his appointments, and make time to work, but now more than ever they need your help.
I'm starting this campaign to help my parents raise a few months worth of expenses and hopefully give them some financial breathing room. If you're able to contribute anything (even just prayers) it would mean the world to us!
Thank you for your generosity and many blessings from our family to yours.
