No one should have to fight cancer twice. Let's not make Dan go it alone.
Husband, father, brother, son, friend, farmer, hunter, uncle, nephew, cousin, and survivor are just a few ways to describe the connections Dan has in his life. At age 16, Dan won his first cancer battle against Leukemia. As a result of chemo treatments at such a young age, now at 41, Dan is combating Extrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).
We are still in the beginning stages of discovery, but we know this type of cancer is rare and aggressive. It is wearing him down, and he is losing weight and strength rapidly. As a foreman on a farm, the physical aspect of farming and maintaining greenhouses is more than his body can handle. Dan's wife, Jen, is also taking time away from her small business to tend to her husband's needs.
Cancer is expensive. In addition to loss of income, the current and upcoming medical costs, medication, treatments, and an 80 mile commute between appointments have created financial and emotional stress for Dan and his family. They need your help!
To support Dan, Jen, Courtney, Zack, and Seth through this process, donations are appreciated. These donations will allow Jen to take time off work to care for Dan and their children and help relieve the loss of income.
Dan is a fighter, but he needs an army of support right now. #StandwithDan
