cancer sufferer wants his USA wife to stay in uk

My son Kane married last March 2019 in America after meeting his girlfriend Murshida three years ago when she was studying in the uk. They have been back and forth to see each other ever since they met, and Murshida came here again in August to stay for six months where during this time they would decide whether to stay in the UK permanently or both go to the USA permanently. If this was the case then Kane would apply for USA citizenship. Unfortunately the plan changed when he was diagnosed with cancer in November. Since this they have used any savings they had and are now relying on handouts from family and friends to pay bills and stay afloat. We met with our local M.P. Peter Dowd’s office in the hope he would be able to arrange for her to stay longer as she has been nursing Kane full time and he so desperately needs her and wants her by his side at this rough time of his life. We were very hopeful at first but just learned today that the home office have said she needs to go back to the USA. She has no money now to just leave and to make matters worse, her family are strict Muslims and she has been shunned by her parents for marrying a non Muslim Brit. So back in the USA she has no home and no family to turn to. The M.P. has advised them to get an immigration lawyer ASAP but these are £1500 just to start with and then more to try the immigration process. Please help these young people as they’re suffering enough as it is with Kane’s illness but to think Murshida would be homeless if sent back is just too much for any of us to bare let alone her husband who adores her. Also these two are intelligent graduates that have a lot to offer our country and will not be claiming anything from our government but just want the chance to work hard for their living. Everyone who knows these two, adores them as they are lovely big hearted sweet souls who would do anything to help anyone and we really need to get them the help they deserve.
