Dear friends, family, and anonymous donors,

My name is Natalie. April & I have been best pals since 1993. April was the first person I met when I moved to Atlanta, from another state, and we instantly clicked. She’s one of my favorite people on the planet. She’s funny, creative, beautiful, and kind. April has a big heart, and she’s determined to kick this right in its stupid butt. This fundraiser is for her.

Mid-July 2024 April was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She’d spent a week at Emory where the doctors ran multiple tests, including full body MRIs, CT scans and biopsies. These tests and biopsies concluded that the breast cancer has spread to her spine, sacrum, hip, skull, and neck. She is suffering with debilitating back pain from 3 separate lesions/masses. One is 9cm mass on her spine, the second is a 6cm lesion on her left hip and the third is a 2.7cm on her L2. These lesions/masses are strangling her spinal cord which prevents her from basic tasks like walking effortlessly or sitting comfortably. She is currently receiving targeted radiation on her back. She is also back at Emory receiving the care she needs and assistance with pain management. We pray that she is literally back on her feet soon.

A few weeks prior to her diagnosis, she was laid off from her job. So, with unemployment and the diagnosis, money has been tight for her and her family. April is a single mother of two; Brian (11) and Josie (18).

Funds raised for April will be for the following:

Medical bills

Current treatment and future treatment which may include, orthopedic surgery and chemo

Future surgeries that may include mastectomy

Transportation to medical appointments and such

Rent and utility bills

Care and assistance for the kids
