Cancer Sucks! Please help us make it suck less!

Hi, my name is Vikki and I am raising funds for my friend Lorna.

In the fall of 2023, Lorna was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that on discovery was already fully metastasized throughout her bones and body. This is not a cancer she will beat, she will not survive. The treatments she is going through we can only hope will prolong her life as well as diminish pain for the time she has left. Pain is a daily state of being for Lorna. She can no longer work her regular job she had until late last year, what little income she has is from her reselling business, a business she is pushing too hard to maintain because she has no choice. Bills are a constant stress, the electricity was shut off recently because payment was short $30, a reconnection fee had to be paid to restore it.

Lorna has medical coverage for now but not dental. One of her medications that she needs to start that is vital to adding time to her life, could not be started until she had multiple teeth pulled. Initially it was going to cost $5k upfront and Lorna is maxed out on her ability to get credit. The dental surgeon finally came to the decision that they would do the surgery for $2k that could be paid back in small installments. Lorna was able to get the surgery on Friday, March 15.

Cancer is terrifying for anyone, incurable cancer even more so. Lorna is only in her early 40s, facing the unthinkable. Rather than being able to focus on her health and taking advantage of every day she has left, Lorna can only think about how to make sure that next bill is paid, how she's going to buy food. We believe that we can all help lighten her load, help her breathe a little easier, focus on what's really important.

Those who know Lorna, know she is a ride or die friend, she will do anything for anyone. She loves hard, she is loyal, she is kind. What is happening is not fair, it's not right, and Lorna is the absolute last person who should be going through this. Please help us help her to get through this with all the support she deserves.
