There’s probably never a great time to find out you have Stage 4 Colon Cancer, but in a global pandemic, it feels like the worst timing ever. 

I finally retired last year, moved to Louisville and oh boy, did we have plans. Buy a house, play in the garden, get a puppy, etc. Slow down and sip my tea in the sunshine sort of plans. Covid changed everything for all of us and then I got the news I was sick. I am devastated.  

After meeting with my Oncologist and Chemotherapy specialist, yesterday we have determined I need to be where my support system is. I am in for the fight of my life, and I need all the help I can get.
