Cancer sucks. Help me beat and say bye to a loved one in TX.

Hi and thank you for being here!

I'm reaching out with a humble heart to ask for support during a really difficult time.

Not everyone in my life knows this but I was diagnosed with Stage 2 HR+/HER2- breast cancer on February 6 of this year. My little 'chickpea' as I immediately named it after looking at the scan was caught early.

I was rushed through the medical system here in Australia as a priority. For that I could not be more grateful to live in a country that provides proper health care when needed! I was in and out of hospital with removal of the 2 chickpeas and 1 lymph node on Feb 25!

I am now facing 15 days of radio therapy which I'm told takes a toll on the body and causes extreme fatigue. In addition to taking hormone blockers and being at a very low rate of iron. If my ferritin level doesn't increase soon I will be in line for an iron transfusion.

I am happy to say at this point I am cancer free. My prognosis is good. At 96% after five years.

I have not worked my business Simple Organised Space since Feb 6. My small savings has been exhausted. I have received all the help I am eligible for from the various charities.

This has taken a serious toll on me physically, emotionally and financially. Needless to say it has been difficult for my 12 year old son, Max who lost his father to cancer in 2017. He is a strong, beautiful and courageous boy who I would do anything for. This has taken a different sort of toll on him.

I had a loved one pass away in Texas and would very much like to be there. I didn't take the opportunity to go when I was well and I so wish Max could have met this legend. My big brother.

I'm asking for help to cover the cost of the trip as well as immediate expenses related to treatment and basic living needs while I work on getting back on my feet.
