UPDATE- 10-21-2023
Unfortunately, David is on comfort care at the hospital. Doctors don't think he will make it through the night. Please help with what you can. The hardest part is yet to come.

This is for my best bud David Parker and his family. He has become an inspiration to me and how I charrish the work I do and the people I meet. He is such a great person, it breaks my heart that he has to go through this. His family is in need of our help to make ends meet. Please find it in your heart to help his family. Thank you.
Words from his family;
On July 14 David had an MRI that his Dr. At the Cancer Center ordered to see how to continue treatment of the Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer David has been battling for 6 1/2 years now.
David went to his appointment that Day, and by that afternoon they were getting calls to have David get to the ER right away.
David was admitted and they removed 18 inches of Blood clot’s that were getting very close to his heart. That resulted in 32 blood clots all together. This was the 2nd largest blood clotting they had ever removed there. Very scary!
He was released after a few days to go home and rest.
He wasn’t home long before he was having fevers spiking at 104° with major cold chills, so back to the ER they went and into the ICU.
He went into septic shock (which is the 3rd level of sepsis) along with 2 separate Bacterial blood infections that had to be treated different ways.
He stayed at the hospital that week until his labs got to a point where he could go home and continue the antibiotics at home followed by probiotics.
4 of their 5 adult kids came home to visit for a few week’s along with the 3yr, 2yr, and newborn Grandsons.
It was a blessing for them to have them all, but David became very sick again and back to the ICU.
He went back into septic shock, the 2 bacterial blood infections are back, he wasn’t breathing well on his own and using a Bi-Pap, glucose was at 30 and can’t keep it up on his own, blood pressure 75/51 and couldn’t keep it up on his own, and lactic acid way to high. A damaged kidney and damaged lung with fluids building in the lungs.
And Now he tested positive for C.Diff, this will not be easy to kill with all the chemotherapy he has done in the last year and a half. He just finished his 30th treatment in a row and will continue doing treatments for the rest of his life.
Today David was moved out of the ICU, he is now keeping his blood pressure up to a decent level, he is breathing well, just not coherent and can’t answer questions. His body is working so hard he is just exhausted.
They will keep all the different antibiotics and meds going for awhile.
