Hi, my dear friends, Anthony and Shirlie Murphy need our help. Anthony has been battling stage 4 lung cancer for the past seven years. He lives in his childhood home with his sister, Shirlie, who suffered two strokes and is disabled. Maintaining their home has been impossible because of their debilitating illnesses, as well as a lack of income. Their home is in disrepair — tree roots have damaged the water line outside their home. They have been without water for months while trying to have the water lines replaced. They simply cannot afford the $7100 expense for this repair. In addition, there is a hole in their 30-year old roof and it needs to be replaced which will cost approximately $13000.

Anthony and Shirlie are very proud people and have exhausted their savings and resisted asking for financial help. They do not qualify for any sort of loans because they have no income. They cannot continue living without running water and a damaged roof especially while seriously ill.
