UPDATE on Rick (8.4.21):
Surgery is scheduled for September! This will require at least a week stay in or near the hospital. There is an immediate need for travel funds (gas, food, & possible lodging). This is a long, expensive road! Rick, Tina, & family are beyond grateful for all the donations & prayers!
UPDATE on Rick (7.1.21):
The mass is measuring 9.1 x 7.2 x 8.6 (previously measured 12.0 x 9.7 x 10.6) Tumor thrombus is no longer appreciated within the inferior vena cava. All tumors shrank! God is good! Keep the prayers coming! He will stay on the meds as long as his body will allow. They are keeping an eye on his labs & will recheck them in 2 weeks.
As many of you know in March 2021, Rick Eubanks was diagnosed with a form of cancer that the doctors suspect is renal cancer. (Biopsy scheduled for May 2021) The cancer is encroaching on a main artery & currently inoperable. On top of that, the type of cancer that the doctors believe he has doesn't respond to chemotherapy. Rick is currently under going scans & test so that he may begin a drug trial at Emory (in Atlanta) that will hopefully shrink the growth so that it may then be surgically removed. Because of the side affects of the drug trial, Rick will be unable to continue working. The financial burden that cancer, traveling for treatment, being out of work, & still maintaining a home is all too familiar to this family because they just recently went through this with Tina when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Please consider making a monetary donation to this family. If you can't donate, please pray for healing, peace of mind, & knowledge for the doctors working with Rick.
