My sister Tami is a cancer nurse at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin IL. My sister is my hero. She lives for her job caring for others going thru the toughest times of their lives. On Nov. 14, 2017 she was involved in a head on collision with a driver who carried the bare minimum insurance required by law. She was extricated from the van and suffered horrific injuries to her right leg. It broke both bones in her leg in half, shattered her ankle and her heel. She has had 3 major surgeries installing plates, rods, screws, etc. Due to the inadequate insurance of the other driver, she has incurred astronomical expenses on her road to recovery. The costs of this will easily exceed 6 figures.  She still needs alot of physical therapy that her own insurance isn't covering and is in danger of losing her job due to the extended recovery time this has caused. Please help this angel get back on her feet and doing what she loves, caring for others who can't care for themselves.
