Cancer messed with the wrong Irishwoman
Donation protected
“No sympathy needed, no need to be weird - if you have questions, I’ll answer, but still don’t text me after 8:00 because now I can blame cancer for my early bedtime.”
These are words from my humorous best friend Leigh (Perez) McGuire, who was just given a cancer diagnosis this month - Myelofibrosis, which is a rare type of bone marrow cancer and part of the leukemia “family”. Leigh and her husband, Eric, have spent much of the last few weeks in doctor’s offices, labs, hospitals and resting, which keeps them out of work and hemorrhaging money to fund these tests. Not only that, but now many more tests, medications, appointments, and potentially even a transplant is in their future.
Leigh is the most selfless person I know, and is more than ready and able to kick cancer’s a** like a boss. But she needs our help doing so. Consider donating to help with their current and future medical bills and, if you can’t, please pray to whoever you pray to that cancer forfeits quickly.
